They are cities of the the dead. Springing up across Zimbabwe. Filled will tiny little bodies. Babies who have died of AIDS. And, often left at home are siblings – with no parents to care for them. In Zambia there are 75000 children who are homeless orphans, many affected by HIV/AIDS. At least 50 per cent of Zambia’s populations are expected to die of HIV related diseases in the next three years. Life expectancy is Zambia is only 32.5 years.

Fresh from their 2009 Champions League victory, Barcelona launched a photography exhibition to raise awareness about the team’s other passion the lives of young people living with HIV. The photo display, “Life and Hopes of Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Swaziland,” was unveiled at UNICEF house by FC Barcelona President Joan Laporta.
