According to the Toledo Lucas County Health Department, as of Sept. 30, 2008, 877 people were reported to be living with HIV/AIDS in Lucas County and 1 out of every 4 people with the virus were female. However, those are just the reported cases; the department estimates 1/3 of all people with HIV/AIDS dont know their status.
